About the job Job post Partnerships & Business Development Manager Yehulu Birr Digital Payment S.C.[Addis Ababa], Ethiopia · Full-time · On-site About Yehulu BirrYehulu Birr Digital Payment S.C. is a newly licensed Payment Instrument Issuer under the National Bank of Ethiopia. We are building a mobile wallet that lets every Ethiopian send, receive, pay and save simply and at low cost, and we are hiring our founding team ahead of launch. The roleA wallet is only as useful as the partners behind it. You will find, negotiate and manage the partnerships that let our customers move money to and from banks, pay their bills, buy airtime, receive money from abroad and get paid their salaries. You will report to the CEO. What you will do• Build and close partnerships with banks for wallet-to-bank transfers, cash-in from bank accounts and float services• Sign up billers and payment partners, such as utilities, telecom airtime, schools and government services• Bring in corporate clients for payroll and bulk payments, and remittance companies for inbound transfers• Partner with licensed lenders and insurers to offer their products through the wallet• Negotiate commercial terms, service levels and agreements with legal and compliance• Hand signed partners to operations and technology for integration, and track each partner to go-live• Manage partner relationships and report on partner revenue, volumes and pipeline What you bring• BA/MA in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance or a related field• A good amount of experience in business development or partnerships at a bank, payment company, fintech or telecom companies• A track record of closing institutional deals with banks, billers or corporates• An existing network in Ethiopian banking, payments or corporate sectors• Strong negotiation, presentation and written skills in Amharic and English What we offer• Competitive salary and benefits• A founding role in a newly licensed digital payment company, working directly with the CEO• The chance to build the partner network behind a national payment product
