Job Overview

Job Purpose The Sales & Merchant Acquisition Officer is responsible for identifying and acquiring new merchants, promoting Mereb Pay’s digital payment solutions, onboarding customers, and expanding the company’s merchant network to achieve sales and business growth targets. Key Responsibilities Identify and approach prospective merchants and business customers to promote Mereb Pay’s payment services. Acquire, register, onboard, and activate merchants across different business sectors. Explain payment gateway, POS, and other digital payment solutions to prospective customers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchants to encourage transaction growth and retention. Achieve assigned merchant acquisition, activation, and sales targets. Follow up with merchants to support service adoption and resolve onboarding-related issues. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, merchant information, and customer interactions. Identify market opportunities and provide feedback on customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends. Coordinate with Operations, Technology, and Customer/Merchant Support to facilitate merchant onboarding and service delivery. Prepare periodic sales and merchant acquisition reports. Qualifications and Experience Education: BA/ BSc in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field. Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in sales, merchant acquisition, business development, or customer relationship management. Experience in fintech, banking, or digital payments is an advantage. Technical Competencies: Sales and negotiation, customer relationship management, market research, merchant onboarding, and basic knowledge of digital payment solutions.
