Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Job Purpose The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting effective financial planning and control. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability. Ensure timely tax declarations, statutory payments, and compliance with applicable financial regulations. Support budgeting, financial forecasting, audits, and preparation of supporting schedules. Review payment transactions, settlement records, and reconciliation reports in coordination with relevant departments. Strengthen internal financial controls and identify accounting discrepancies or irregularities. Maintain proper financial documentation and support internal and external audits. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Education: BA/MA in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a related field. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage. Experience: 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, payment systems, or a similar industry. Technical Competencies: Financial reporting, general ledger management, bank reconciliation, tax compliance, internal controls, and accounting software proficiency.
